Cardano and Nervos dare to build a bridge. The two blockchain projects want to expand the user circle.
The interoperability of blockchains is a long-runner in crypto circles. After all, critics continue to complain that the large number of projects do more harm than good. In order to provide a better overview in the blockchain jungle, more and more projects are working on solutions for interoperability between different blockchains. So now also between Cardano, whose coin ADA is now capitalized with 58 billion US dollars, and the much smaller Nervos (CKB).
The technology called Force Bridge is said to have several use cases. In the future, users of the blockchains will not only be able to exchange both coins between the chains, but also build their own tokens and applications (dApps) that can be used interoperably. For this purpose, users can access CKB using the Cardano Wallet – and vice versa.
IOHK-CTO: Interoperability is the future
We believe that blockchain technology will only achieve mainstream adoption if users are not tied to a blockchain but can seamlessly access value regardless of which blockchain they are using. Consequently, bridges like this one are an absolute necessity
says Romain Pellerin, CTO of Cardano-related company IOHK.
As expected, the investors acknowledged the announced cooperation with the top 5 coin, correspondingly bullish. The CKB price was up 32 percent in the past 24 hours and was trading at $ 0.019 at press time.
Most recently, we received the news that Cardano is to form the technical basis of a blockchain-based ID card for over five million Ethiopian students.
