Xiaomi has announced that its “Mi” product line will simply be renamed to “Xiaomi” starting from the third quarter of 2021 which will end in September. The company says the change will unify the brand’s global presence and bridge the perception gap between the brand and its products.
It’s about a very important change for the brand, which since its first model uses the suffix “Mi” for its main product line, so much so that the company has announced that this change could take some time to take effect in all regions.
With the introduction of the new brand identity, the product series Xiaomi and Redmi they will be under the Xiaomi parent brand. The company also released updated logos for both brands under the main brand logo to show the difference.
