Xiaomi ready to launch HyperCharge: a new standard for charging that can charge the smartphone to 100% in just 8 minutes.
In August 2020, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra as its first smartphone with 120W fast charging. Recent rumors confirm that the company is ready to launch 200W fast charging, likely to arrive in the second half of the year. Today, the company unveiled fast charging “HyperCharge” which promises to charge a smartphone in just 8 minutes. But not only that, the company also presented the 120W wireless charging capable of charging the smartphone in just 15 minutes, without cables.
Always taking into consideration the 120W recharge of the Mi 10 Ultra, which as you will remember was presented with a 4,500 mAh battery. The 120W fully charges the Mi 10 Ultra in just 23 minutes. What about Xiaomi’s new 200W HyperCharge technology? Hold on tight for what we’re saying: Xiaomi’s 200W wired charging can charge a 4,000mAh battery per 50% in just 3 minutes. And it takes 8 minutes to get 100% charged.
If you want some more data, a 4,000 mAh battery can be charged up to 10% in just 1 minute, 50% in 7 minutes and 100% in just 15 minutes.
Really a turning point in the smartphone landscape. We will see how Xiaomi will decide to implement this novelty. It could present smartphones on the market equipped with this technology, while not providing the 200W charger in the box? We hope not. Obviously everyone we expect to find this technology with attached charger, in the next top of the range of the company.
