Timothée Chalamet will play the young Willy Wonka in the prequel to “The Chocolate Factory”



Timothée Chalamet is directed towards a world of pure imagination, the Oscar-nominated actor will play the young Willy Wonka in prequel de The Chocolate Factory, 1971 masterpiece film.

The title of the film is simply Wonka, and is based on the characters created by Roald Dahl in the famous novel, the story will focus on a young Willy Wonka and his adventures before the opening of the most famous chocolate factory in the world.

Deadline reports that in Wonka we’ll see Timmy show off his skills I sing and dance with several musical numbers which will appear for the duration of the film. It also seems that the 25-year-old will have to train a lot to get prepared for musical!

This is the third feature film focusing on the story of Willy Wonka, again as adaptations of Dahl’s famous novel. The first is the masterpiece of the 1971 starring the unforgettable Gene Wilder in the role of Wonka. The second, that of 2005 with Johnny Depp.

The details on the plot are top secret for now. We only know that it will be a tale of Wonka’s origins and that, for the first time, the character of the child Charlie Bucket will not be present – perhaps because this time it will be Wonka who will be a child?
