the meaning of the single “I kiss you again while you sleep”

From Friday 10 September you can also listen on the radio “I kiss you again while you sleep”, single gods Undertone taken from “Originals”, the new album released on June 4th which marked their return to the scene.

The song is a dedication to relationships between parents and children, those between generations that flow and roles that are overturned, evolving. There where the feeling is also fear and responsibility: “You imitate me in everything and I am not an example / But I try anyway”.

“I kiss you again while you sleep” is the second single from the new Sottotono album after “Mastroianni” and the digital-only output of “Only she has what I want 2021”.

“Originali” comes twenty years after their last studio work and is made up of a total of 13 tracks, six unreleased and seven among the hit songs of the duo, rearranged and revisited together with prominent names of the Italian music scene. The album tells of two artists who arrived today after a long personal journey and who, thanks to their maturity and expressive awareness, have found the desire to re-address their common roots, enriching them.
