Samsung confirmed earlier this year that it would bring AMD GPUs to its flagship Exynos processors. However, despite the confirmation, Samsung did not go too far in revealing the timing for the release of this new collaboration with AMD. But today, just AMD he confirmed some of these details during the Computex 2021 keynote event.
AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su made it official today at the company’s Computex 2021 launch event that the next flagship Exynos processor will include the RDNA2 GPU. The all-new GPU, which arrives for the first time on mobile devices, will include advanced features such as the ray tracing variable speed to deliver high fidelity graphics and better energy efficiency. RDNA2 is AMD’s latest graphics architecture and GPUs based on this technology are used in AMD’s 6000 series graphics cards, mounted on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
