Tennis: Muguruza wins WTA Masters, first Spanish in history


ROME, NOV 18 – Garbiñe Muguruza is the first Spaniard to win the Masters Wta, the closing tournament of the women’s tennis season. The world number 5 beat Estonian Anett Kontaveit in the final with a score of 6-3, 7-5. The champion of Roland Garros 2016 and Wimbledon 2017, puts the icing on the cake of an excellent 2021 during which she conquered the tournaments in Dubai and Chicago, after three years far from the top 10.
