Spotify: Synchronized lyrics like Apple Music available for everyone

Spotify just announced that the synced song lyrics feature is now available worldwide. The feature, very similar to the one already present on Apple Music, is available for both free and paid subscription users.

The company said that song lyrics were one of the most requested features among users of Spotify. Earlier this year the feature went into testing and is now finally available to everyone.

It’s easier to sing your last favorite song when you know the words. That’s why, starting today, Spotify is enabling millions of fans around the world to sing louder and more confidently than ever with the launch of Lyrics.

The new feature, which is powered by Musixmatch, it is almost identical to the one already present on Apple Music. The lyrics automatically follow the song, so there is no need to manually scroll through them and users can share snippets of it with their friends.

Spotify claims that the lyrics are available for the “majority” of its tracks, but does not provide an exact number. This means that you may come across some lesser known songs that don’t have them yet, just like on Apple Music.

The new feature is available on almost every platform that Spotify is supported on, including iOS and Android, Mac and PC, web, game consoles, smart TVs, Amazon Fire devices, Roku, and more.
