The Snapdragon 888 is the processor adopted by all the top-of-the-range Android smartphones for the first half of this year, but it is Snapdragon 888 Pro is coming, making the current one “already old”.
Just in these hours, a mysterious device called Qualcomm Lahaina appeared on the GeekBench site. The single-core score and multi-core score of this device are not that different from the Snapdragon 888 model, but the main CPU frequency has increased up to 3.0 GHz, while the maximum frequency of the Snapdragon 888 stops at 2.84 GHz.

Already several months ago, it was said that Qualcomm would release an updated version of the Snapdragon 888 chip in the second half of the year, likely named Snapdragon 888 Pro or Plus.
