Samsung usually announces its flagship Exynos chipset a few weeks before unveiling its new Galaxy S series smartphone. This year, the company is expected to launch the chip. Exynos 2200, the first Exynos processor with an AMD GPU. Today, the company revealed an announcement date for its next Exynos chip.
The South Korean firm posted a cryptic Instagram post via its Samsung Exynos account. The company said the games started with arcade games and have come a long way to the latest generation games with high-end graphics. The company then goes on to say that it wants to show “what entertainment will look like in the future“. The last image in the post says: “Everything changes on November 19, 2021“.
Samsung may introduce a new Exynos processor on November 19. As the company talked about graphics in its post, Samsung may unveil the long-awaited Exynos 2200 chipset with Radeon Mobile GPU based on AMD RDNA2. This GPU will be able to support high-end gaming features such as ray tracing and VRS (variable speed shading). The company could also feature a mid-range chipset like the Exynos 1250.
Although the company has not disclosed the specs of the chip Exynos 2200, various rumors claim that it is made using Samsung Foundry’s 4nm manufacturing process and that it will be equipped with one Cortex-X2 CPU core, three Cortex-A710 CPU cores and four Cortex-A510 CPUs. There should also be support for displays with 144Hz refresh rates, an integrated 5G modem and the latest versions of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
