Poland, European Convention on Human Rights incompatible

WARSAW, 24 NOV – The Polish Constitutional Court has ruled that part of the European Convention on Human Rights is incompatible with the national constitution, ruling on a sentence handed down by the European Court of Human Rights. “The Constitutional Court rejects the ECHR ruling that violates our system,” Deputy Minister of Justice Sebastian Kaleta said on Twitter, referring to a ruling issued by the ECHR earlier this year on the controversial Polish judicial reforms.
