In a few weeks, probably in June, OnePlus will present two new smartphones. The new products are expected to be OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
As the name suggests, these two new devices are expected to be part of the Nord family, which made its debut last year with the excellent OnePlus Nord, followed by Nord N10 5G and Nord N100.
OnePlus Nord 2 should abandon the Qualcomm platform, used in the previous model, to adopt the new one MediaTek Dimensity 1200. This could be the company’s first device to use a non-Qualcomm hardware platform. Among other specifications we should find a 6.49-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and a rear quad camera. The latter is expected to be equipped with a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and two additional 2MP sensors each.
As for OnePlus Nord CE 5G, however, there should be a Snapdragon 700 series chipset (presumably one Snapdragon 750G), an AMOLED display with increased refresh rate and a 4,500 mAh battery with 50 W fast charging.
UPDATE 27/05: OnePlus has recently released a teaser in which it announces a new event for the summer. The two new smartphones of the Northern line are getting closer and closer.
We still don’t know which price range they will be positioned on, but it is likely that they will follow the prices seen last year with Nord and Nord N10 5G.
