PARIS, 21 SEPTEMBER – Italy’s GDP is expected to grow to 5.9% in 2021 and 4.1% in 2022: this is what emerges from the OECD Intermediate Economic Perspectives published today in Paris. Compared to the Economic Outlook of May, the OECD revised the Italian estimates up by 1.4 points for 2021 and down by -0.3 points for 2022. World GDP should instead grow to 5.7% in 2021 and 4.5% in 2022. “Global GDP – writes the international body based in Paris – has now exceeded the pre-pandemic level, but production and employment gaps remain in many countries, especially in emerging markets and in developing economies, where vaccination levels are low ”. The growth forecasts for the eurozone are 5.3% in 2021 and 4.6% in 2022. (ANSA).
