Mr. Big returns in the reboot of “Sex and the City”: Chris Noth’s presence confirmed

“How could we ever have made a new chapter of SATC without Mr. Big?”

Since the reboot of Sex and the City, conflicting news had arrived on the possible participation of Chris Noth.

Now finally there is the confirmation: Mr. Big will also be there!

The American streaming service HBO Max, on which the new episodes will air, has confirmed that the actor will reprise the role of John Preston. She had played him from 1998 to 2004 in the original series and was one of the loves of Carrie Bradshaw’s character, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, who later became her husband in the film released in 2008.

Executive producer Michael Patrick King stressed that he was “excited to work with Chris again. How could we ever have made a new chapter of Sex and the City without Mr. Big?“.

If to the Big team, you have always preferred the team Aidan, you must know that in the reboot there will also be John Corbett, who had played the romantic furniture builder Aidan Shaw, another love interest of Carrie.

The new season of Sex and the City, And Just Like That…, was announced last January: three original protagonists will participate, namely Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York. There won’t be Kim Cattrall who had played Samantha Jones.

We will see the adventures of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte between love and friendships at 50. Sex and the City had debuted in 1998 and had gone on for six seasons until 2004.

The series continued with two films, one released in 2008 and the other in 2010. There was also a spin-off, The Carrie Diaries, of 2013.
