PARIS, 24 NOV – At least 5 people died in the sinking of a boat off the coast of Calais, on the English Channel. This was announced by the French Ministry of the Interior. These were migrants headed from France to Great Britain. According to the Interior Ministry, “around 2 pm a fisherman reported the discovery of about fifteen bodies floating off Calais. A ship of the National Navy has fished out several bodies, five of which of deceased people and five in a state of unconsciousness, according to a provisional toll ”. The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, is on his way to the scene. (HANDLE).
