Microsoft announces Surface Laptop Studio, Surface Pro 8 and Go 3

Microsoft has announced its new range of Surface computers: Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Pro 8, featuring thinner bezels, new connectivity and improved display technology. In addition, the Surface Go 3 also arrives.

Surface Laptop Studio has a hinge that pushes the display forward in a “stage mode” similar to the hinge on the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard. By continuing to pull forward, the display can be placed completely flat on the keyboard. Compared to the Surface Book 3 equipped with a detachable display, Microsoft has decided to adopt an all-in-one design with no removable parts. Surface Laptop Studio can transform from laptop to tablet with this new hinge.

As for the specifications, we have a 14.4-inch display with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 11th generation Intel Core i5 / i7 processors, 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 256 SSD storage GB to 2 TB and Windows 11 Home operating system.

Surface Laptop Studio will be available from early 2022.

Surface Pro 8 is a 13-inch tablet-laptop hybrid with slightly narrower bezels and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. It can be configured with an 11th generation Intel processor and features a user-upgradeable SSD. Microsoft calls the Surface Pro 8 the most powerful 2-in-1 on the market. It offers 16 hours of battery life, Dolby-Atmos, Dolby-Vision, 120Hz refresh rate display and up to 32GB of RAM.

The new Surface Slim Pen 2 it can be stored inside a slot in the keyboard, which acts as a charging system. It has a vibration motor that simulates the feeling of writing with a real pencil while drawing.

Surface Pro 8 will be available from early 2022.

The Surface Go 3 has a 10.5-inch display, Dolby audio, and a 60% faster processor than the previous model. Microsoft positions this device as the perfect tablet for a family. You will be able to configure Surface Go 3 with 10th Gen Intel processors and it comes with Windows 11 already installed, with built-in family safety limits and more.

Surface Go 3 will be available from 5 October starting at 449 €.
