On Friday 27 August the remix of “Butter” of the BTS made together with Megan Thee Stallion. A release that the rapper wanted at all costs, to the point of going to court.
According to what was reported by several magazines including Variety, Megan received the permission of the judge of the Texas Court to release the song after his 1501 Certified Entertainment label and distributor 300 Entertainment attempted to block the release.
The reason? There reputation of the rapper. Megan’s record company would claim that if the BTS remix was out: “his music career will suffer irreparable damage, including a devastating impact on his relationships with his fans and other record artists in the” music industry “. Additionally, the rapper’s attorney said 1501 Certified Entertainment wasn’t signing the remix release because she didn’t believe it was “good for his career as an artist”.
But Megan was so keen on collaborating with BTS that she managed to get what she wanted so badly: the remix will be released everywhere on Friday 27th August! “You can’t even imagine how enthusiastic he is”, wrote the Texan artist via Twitter.
We can’t wait to hear this new version of “Butter”!
