Johnson opens CoP26 and mentions 007, we must save the Earth

LONDON, 01 NOV – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson invokes the image of James Bond, “Glasgow’s most famous son” in fiction, as an inspiration to save the Earth: this time from the danger of climate change. Opening the works of CoP26 in front of some 120 world leaders in Scotland, Johnson however warns that “this is not a movie”, that the threat “is real”, that “the clock is running furiously” and that emissions of carbon continue to increase: hence the call to act now, before it is “too late”.
