Istat: industry turnover in September +0.1%, + 15.2% on the year


ROME, NOV 19 – In September it is estimated that industry turnover, net of seasonal factors, increased by 0.1% compared to August, according to Istat data. Adjusted for calendar effects, total turnover grows in trend terms by 15.2% (+ 17.0% on the domestic market and + 11.6% on the foreign market). In the third quarter the overall index shows an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous three months (+ 3.0% on the domestic market and + 1.5% on the foreign market). Compared to September 2020 there are very marked trend increases for energy (+ 48.2%) and intermediate goods (+ 28.6%), more contained for consumer goods (+ 7.1%) and capital goods ( + 2.4%). With reference to the manufacturing sector, there are trend increases for all sectors of economic activity, with the exception of the transport vehicle and pharmaceutical sectors. (HANDLE).
