Germany: record infections since the beginning of the pandemic, 33,949 cases

BERLIN, 04 NOV – The Robert Koch Institut recorded 33,949 new cases of contagion from Covid in 24 hours in Germany (6000 more than last week) and 169 deaths. The number of infections represents an absolute record since the beginning of the pandemic, since the maximum number of positives recorded in 24 hours had previously been 33,777 on 18 December last. The hospitalization indicator, which detects the burden of intensive care on 100,000 inhabitants, however, is still at yesterday’s figure of 3.62, definitely far from the record reached last Christmas when it reached 15.5.
