Samsung is working on the new Galaxy Tab S8 tablet series which will be announced early next year. Now the first benchmarks have appeared that reveal the processor of the Galaxy Tab S8.
A new Samsung device with model number SM-X808U appeared in the database of Geekbench, revealing the details of the processor and memory. This would be the 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S8 + intended for the US market. Following the data revealed by the benchmark, the tablet uses Qualcomm’s next flagship processor, lo Snapdragon 898. The device scored 1,211 points in the CPU performance test in single-core and 3,193 points in the multi-core test.
The chipset appears to feature one CPU core clocked at 3 GHz, three CPU cores clocked at 2.5 GHz, and four CPU cores clocked at 1.9 GHz. The Galaxy Tab S8 + appears to have 8 GB of RAM and comes with Android 12 ready to use. Whether or not Samsung will use the operating system remains to be seen Android 12L, which however is not yet available in the final version.
Samsung is expected to launch three models in the series: in addition to the standard variant we will have a Plus and Ultra variant. The Ultra model could feature a huge 14.6-inch OLED display. The standard model might have an 11-inch screen, while the Plus model might have a 12.4-inch OLED display. All models should be equipped with a 120Hz display.
As for autonomy, however, the standard model should have an 8,000 mAh battery, which will rise to 10,090 mAh for the Plus variant. The Ultra model, finally, will have a 14,000 mAh battery. All three tablets will support 45W fast charging.
