Galaxy S22: goodbye to the Exynos processor also in Europe?

Due to the semiconductor crisis, it appears that Samsung may launch a lineup for all markets of the new Galaxy S22. Will we say goodbye to Exynos processors?

According to what reported on LetsGoDigital, it seems that Samsung has decided to equip the new Galaxy S22 series with the future new flagship processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 898. The processor of the American company is expected to be unveiled later this month during the Tech Summit 2021.

It therefore appears that the Exynos 2200 it will not even reach Europe on the new ones Galaxy S22. The reason should be related to problems that the industry is experiencing in this period with semiconductor sourcing.

For the same reason, the next one S21 FE it should arrive in January next year. In particular, the rumors speak as a possible date of the announcement on January 4th. Marketing, on the other hand, shouldn’t take place before 11 January.

The Galaxy S22s that will also arrive in Europe they should therefore be moved from Qualcomm processor which should follow the 4nm manufacturing process. Compared to the Snapdragon 888, the 898 Sara improve on all fronts, including consumption.

The Galaxy S22 is expected to hit the market next time February 18. Presentation and pre-orders should instead be set for February 8, 2022.

Many enthusiasts will be happy with this news considering that, historically, Samsung’s high-end processors have always been a step below Qualcomm’s counterparts.

We will see what Samsung’s plans will be in practice very soon.
