BRUSSELS, NOV 16 – The European Commission will tomorrow present a proposal to make the rules on state aid for the semiconductor industry more flexible, allowing more margins of funding from governments to support European microchip companies. It is learned from sources close to the dossier. Brussels also intends to authorize more alliances in the sector and increase the resilience of the supply chain. The proposal will be contained in a specific section of the communication on the review of EU competition policy that the college of commissioners will adopt in the morning. (HANDLE).
