ROME, AUG 25 – The confederal unions will send a letter to the Government asking for its intervention in the negotiations with Ita. This was announced by Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl and Uiltrasporti at the end of the meeting with the top management of Ita. “Ita wants to have a free hand on the contract, it wants to choose its employees, not taking into account work experience”, explained the general secretary of Uiltrasporti, Claudio Tarlazzi. “There remain many points of distance with the company, we ask for the intervention of Palazzo Chigi in the negotiations and on the issue of employment”. While for the Usb “It is a very difficult and uphill negotiation. We do not agree on the employment plan, we ask that all Alitalia employees be transferred to Ita. Employment must be guaranteed ”. The unions have meanwhile confirmed the air transport strike for 24 September. (HANDLE).
