Is titled “Silk”, the unreleased song that Elisa has chosen to publish today, Wednesday 24 November. The single was written by Davide Petrella and by the same artist, who also composed the music together with Dario Faini.
“Seta” is accompanied by a video official since strong impact, able to deal very directly important issues. The clip – written in its screenplay by Elisa and directed by Attilio Cusani – sees the participation in the artistic direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of Valentine, who immediately embraced the idea of this project.
“Seta was born during one of the first group writing experiments what did I do – wrote Elisa on Instagram – It was a day two years ago, there was me and Andre, Davide and Dario. We had finished work on a song for another artist and we all had the afternoon off. I remember perfectly well that Davide, as we reached the restaurant on foot, with his cigarette in his mouth and his perennial defiance, said to us: ‘Let’s do another one now. We do one thing without thinking about anything. Out of the box, free to make everything wrong‘. That last sentence turned on my most remote cells and I recognized that so familiar impulse of wanting to do, of almost physical need to materialize the emotion, almost to free yourself from it. That excitement as your whole being prepares to seek life within one thing, while the rest disappears into the background. After a few hours we were listening to it and we were electric, happy as little children, and I don’t know the others, but I am also a little drained and finally calm, as always after I have written something I really like. What happened next I’ll tell you when we get there, but in the meantime, without a doubt, this was the beginning. “
“Seta” is the first taste of the new recording project by Elisa arriving in 2022 which contains its various souls. It is a double album of unreleased songs, one in Italian and one in English (of this part, Elisa also took care of the entire production).
We can’t wait to find out more!
