Covid: Israel and the EU recognize each other’s vaccination


TEL AVIV, 15 SEPT – Israel and the EU have agreed on the mutual recognition of certificates of immunization or recovery from covid. The media reports that Israel has become part of the EU’s digital certification program. On the basis of the agreement that should be effective from early October, it was explained that travel between the EU (or other countries that have joined the Program) and Israel and vice versa will be made easier. According to the media, the agreement should also allow Israelis access to the European Green Pass to enter restaurants, museums, public administration and events in accordance with the guidelines of each country. Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said that “the EU recognizes the Israeli vaccination and we the European one. This will allow significant relief to the aviation sector, tourism and the economy ”.
