Afghanistan: Johnson, I will ask the G7 for an increase in humanitarian commitment

ROME, AUG 24 – “Today I will chair an emergency meeting of the G7 to coordinate our response to the crisis in Afghanistan. I will ask our friends and allies to stand by the Afghan people and increase support for refugees and humanitarian aid. We will use every diplomatic and humanitarian leverage to safeguard human rights and the progress made in Afghanistan over the past twenty years.
